Water Softeners, Filters & Purification in Pueblo

Reliable Water Treatment Solutions including Softeners, Filters & Purification in Pueblo

Top-Notch Water Treatment Services: Softeners, Filters & Purification in Pueblo

The average American uses about 82 gallons of water each day. Running water is essential for many of our daily activities including washing our hands, cooking, and staying hydrated. But even if your water looks clear, how clean is it really? Even though your water is treated by a local facility, there are numerous ways its quality can be compromised by the time it reaches the taps in your home. That’s what makes water purification so important for Pueblo homeowners. Purification systems allow individuals, families, and businesses to receive access to clean, safe water that can be used for drinking, washing, and other routine activities.

For decades, Water Works has been the trusted source for water treatment in Pueblo and Southern Colorado. Over the years, we’ve helped countless customers overcome issues like hard water, water contamination, and low water pressure. The owner of our company has been working in the water industry for over 50 years and has passed on his extensive knowledge and insight to our team. When it comes to water treatment, there is no project too difficult or complicated for us to handle. Our services are fully comprehensive and include water softener installation, water filtration, pH balancing, hard water removal, chloramine removal, ozone treatment, and more.

Residential & Commercial Water Treatment for Pueblo

Whether you need water treatment for your home, office, or place of business, Water Works is here to help. We offer a variety of services for commercial and residential properties in Pueblo.

Water Testing

Our water analysis services are fully comprehensive and are provided free of charge to new customers. These tests allow our team to identify any current issues with your water supply including the presence of minerals, lead, and contaminants. We offer water analysis for residential water, well water, office water, health grade water, commercial, and industrial applications.

Water Softeners

There is a delicate balance between water that is too soft and too hard. Extremely soft water can corrode household plumbing whereas hard water causes dry skin, itchiness, spots, stains, and a bad taste. Installing a water softener is a great way to ensure that your water has the right mineral content so that it can be used for drinking, washing, and other essential activities.

Water Purification

Water purification systems are an effective method for removing undesired compounds and contaminants in water. After analyzing your water, we’ll be able to pinpoint exactly what contaminants you’re dealing with. Then, we’ll devise a solution that ensures that you and everyone in your household has access to clean, safe water.

Water Filtration

Water filtration systems offer a quick, convenient solution to improving water quality. Installing a water filter can improve the cleanliness and purity of your water to make it safer and more enjoyable to drink. We carry a vast selection of water filtration systems for Pueblo residents including whole house water filters, reverse osmosis, under-sink, drop-in, and in-line filters.

Additional Services

Pueblo residents know they can count on Water Works to get the job done right! In addition to the services mentioned above, we also offer chloramine removal, pH balancing, radionuclide treatment, ozone treatment, and more.

Is the Drinking Water Safe in Fort Collins?

Have you ever wondered about the quality of the drinking water in Pueblo? If so, you probably have questions like, where does my water come from? Do I need to worry about contaminants? Is my water safe for drinking and bathing? Below, we’ve provided some information about Pueblo’s public water supply.

Pueblo’s drinking water is monitored and managed by Pueblo Water. The city’s water supply comes from the Rocky Mountains, and originates from a location close to Leadville, Colorado. The water flows into canals, streams, and creeks, and eventually enters the Arkansas River. This water is then diverted into the Pueblo Reservoir. From there, it is brought to the Whitlock Treatment Plant so that it can be treated and distributed to the residents and businesses of Pueblo.

As far as water quality goes, the majority of Pueblo’s water is considered to be hard or very hard. Water hardness averages at about 180 mg/L (as CaCO3) or 10.5 grains per gallon. You can find more information on water quality, including testing and contaminants, on the Pueblo Water website.

Pueblo Water Contaminants

Some of the most commonly detected water contaminants in Pueblo include dinitro, Haloacetic acids, Total trihalomethanes, fluoride, mercury, and radiological contaminants.

Water Quality in Pueblo Neighborhoods

Water Works is proud to serve the entire city of Pueblo and the surrounding area. Below, you will find some information about the water quality in popular neighborhoods.

Historic Downtown

Numerous homes and buildings in downtown Pueblo are a historic register. Older homes and buildings are prone to experiencing water quality issues due to the presence of copper pipes, lead pipes, and galvanized steel.

Mesa Junction

Mesa Junction is one of Pueblo’s oldest neighborhoods and is host to a number of buildings that are well over 100 years old. It is highly recommended for residents in this area to have their water supply tested.

Eiler Heights

Formerly known as “Bojon Town,” Eiler Heights is an older neighborhood in Pueblo that was once home to a large Slovenian population. Development of this area can be traced back to the early 1900’s. If you live in Eiler Heights, you may want to have your water tested to rule out the presence of lead, mercury, and other contaminants.

Benefits of Water Purification & Filtration Systems

It is normal for water to have trace amounts of contaminants. However, when these contaminants reach a certain level, water is no longer safe to consume. Installing a water purification system or filter for your home can help reduce contaminants and provide you with access to clean, safe water. Some of the benefits of these systems include:

  • Protects your health:  Installing a water purification or filtration system is a smart way to ensure that your water is free of contaminants that could cause disease or compromise your health.
  • Safer for guests and family members: If you have children or older people that live in or visit your home, a water purifier may be a good idea. Young and elderly individuals are more prone to experiencing health issues due to contaminant exposure.
  • Eco friendly: With a water filter, you always have clean, safe water on hand. This way, you no longer have to rely on plastic water bottles that pollute the environment.
  • Staying hydrated: You may find yourself drinking more water after installing a purification system simply because it tastes and smells better.

Other reasons: Purified water is better for your appliances and plumbing. It is also a better option for doing dishes, washing laundry, bathing, and cleaning your home.

Why Consider a Water Softener?

Pueblo is notorious for having hard water. Installing a water softener is a great way to overcome issues related to hard water and can provide you with many benefits such as:

  • No spots or stains: Spotty dishes? Stains on laundry? Not any more! A water softener can solve all of these issues!
  • Safer for appliances: Appliances are expensive! Soft water is better for your appliances and can help them last longer.
  • No need to call the plumber: Hard water can create buildup in your pipes and lead to clogs that are difficult to remove.
  • Better for washing hands and bathing: Hard water can dry out your skin and hair. It can also make your hands feel slimy or unclean after washing.
  • Saves money: Installing a water softener system can help you save money by improving the efficiency of your hot water heater.

Balancing the Pros and Cons of Well Water for Pueblo Homes

For homeowners in Pueblo, Colorado, well water can provide access to natural groundwater, offering an appealing alternative. However, it’s important to note that well water, unlike treated city water, can carry various contaminants, such as bacteria, sediment, pesticides, heavy metals, and, occasionally, even radioactivity and radionuclides. To guarantee a consistent and safe supply of clean drinking water for your household, diligent maintenance of your well water system is paramount. This involves routine water quality testing, timely filter replacements, and, when required, the implementation of disinfection methods. These proactive measures are essential to identify and manage potential contaminants, including the possibility of radioactivity and radionuclides, providing peace of mind to Pueblo residents about the quality of their well water.

Understanding Well Water Contaminants in Pueblo Homes

For homeowners in Pueblo, Colorado, well water can be a valuable source of natural groundwater. However, it does require diligent maintenance due to its susceptibility to contamination. Unlike treated city water, well water may contain various contaminants, including bacteria, sediment, pesticides, heavy metals, and other impurities. To ensure a safe and reliable supply of clean drinking water for your household, regular maintenance of well water systems is essential. This maintenance includes routine water quality testing, timely filter replacements, and, when necessary, the implementation of disinfection methods. These proactive measures help identify and manage potential contaminants, ensuring the quality of your well water for Pueblo residents.

Enhancing The Well Water Quality For Your Pueblo Home

To ensure a safe and dependable supply of clean drinking water for your household, regular water testing is crucial. This ongoing testing helps detect the presence of contaminants and allows for their appropriate management through effective filtration and purification measures. As responsible homeowners in Pueblo, it’s essential to stay proactive in safeguarding the quality of your well water.
